Awesome The best experience with accomodation in Sri Lanka. Nice, English tradicional rooms with perfect clean modern bathroom. Restaurant with fire place and meal delicious. A very impressive hotel A very interesting spot in the hills of Sri Lanka - a very impressive building and gardens with loads of history. The staff were very attentive and friendly - they met every need and were very welcoming. The rooms were clean and tidy with Renga doing an amazing job. Stepping back in time We came for a drink where we had to become temporary members which was quite cool. We had a delicious gin and tonic in the next bar and was served by a lovely gentleman. We were then offered a free tour of the hill club which was fascinating. Well worth visiting. It is a member's only exclusive establishment but it's worth making the journey. Great Old World Charm A fantastic place that really evokes the past traditions of Nuwara Eliya. Fantastic team of Trevin and Staicy keeps the old world charm at the forefront of everything they do. Great stay! The stay here was fabulous. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely made, with a shout out to Siva. Oozing Charm This old-world English style hotel oozes charm and history. We were taken on a tour by one of the friendly staff, who explained the memorabilia on display. The gardens are beautiful. The service is excellent. The staff put hot water bottles and cookies in the room at night. The original part of the hotel is a billiard room with an impressive history. There are two restaurants. One restaurant is formal and men have to wear a tie and jacket. The reception will happily lend you this if you don’t have one. Pure Indulgence Old English charm - this is a beautiful hotel, surrounded by stunning gardens. The staff are so professional, polite and helpful, there was nothing we didn’t have or want - this hotel had it all. Big comfy rooms and bed, great size bathroom with plenty of towels. Turned our bed down and popped a hot water bottle in the bed with some night time supper on our dresser. Pure indulgence Delicious food served in fine dining room with quality napery and decor. Amazing exclusive club Had a very good time. The staff is extremely courteous. They went out if the way to seve well. The decor is amazing and the history makes the place enchanting. Loved it. Would recommend for the old world charm. Amzing food too. Would want to stay for longer.
